What documents do I need before starting?
You’ll need:
• Right to Work documents
• Photo ID
• Relevant tickets/licences (e.g. white card, plant tickets, confined space, etc.)
• Bank details for payroll
Your consultant will let you know if anything else is required for your specific role.
When can I start work?
Once all compliance checks are completed and you’ve received confirmation from your consultant, you’re good to start on the agreed date.
Timesheets.
How do I submit my timesheet?
Timesheets are to be completed weekly, either online or using the approved paper template, depending on the site requirements. In some cases, both may be needed.
Please use the link below. This will also be sent to you by email and text when you start the job.

Timesheets must be completed weekly once you have finished work for the week. This will be on the digital platform Astute. If you are on a site that requires paper dockets to be signed, please ensure these are signed off with all information filled out on the docket correctly. You will be required to take a photo of this docket and upload it along with your digital timesheet.
When is the timesheet deadline?
Timesheets must be submitted and approved by the site supervisor by the weekly cut-off time (Monday morning, 9am).
Who approves my timesheet?
Your on-site supervisor or site manager is responsible for approving your hours.
What if I forget to submit my timesheet?
Late or missing timesheets may delay your pay. If you miss a deadline, contact your consultant immediately.
Payroll & Pay.
How and when do I get paid?
You are paid weekly via PAYE as a casual employee. Once your timesheet is approved, your pay is processed and deposited directly into the bank account you provided during setup. Payday is Wednesday.
Do I receive a payslip?
Yes. Payslips are issued weekly and include your hours worked, rate of pay, deductions, and net pay.
What if my pay is incorrect?
If something does not look right, contact your consultant or the payroll team as soon as possible. Most issues can be resolved quickly once flagged.
PPE & Site Safety.
What PPE do I need?
As a minimum, you’re usually required to have:
• Safety boots
• Hi-vis vest or jacket
• Hard hat
• Gloves
Some sites may require additional PPE. Your consultant or site induction will confirm this.
Who provides PPE?
In most cases, you’re expected to provide your own basic PPE unless stated otherwise. Fetch will provide branded tops within 1-2 weeks.
What if my PPE is damaged or lost?
Do not work without correct PPE. Inform your site supervisor and your consultant immediately.
On Site.
Who do I report to on my first day?
Report to the site office or site manager listed in your job confirmation before starting work.
What time should I arrive?
Arrive at least 10–15 minutes early on your first day to allow time for induction and sign-in.
What if I’m running late or can’t attend?
You must inform both the site and your consultant as early as possible. No-shows without contact may affect future work.
Absences, Holidays & Sickness.
What if I’m sick?
Call your consultant as soon as possible before your shift starts so the site can be informed.
Do I get holiday or sick pay?
No, as a casual employee you do not receive holiday or sick pay.
Contact & Support.
Who is my main point of contact?
Your assigned consultant in the Trades & Labour team is your first point of contact for all work-related queries.
Who do I contact out of hours?
For urgent site-related issues outside normal office hours, use the emergency contact number provided in your job confirmation.
What if I have a problem on site?
Raise it with your site supervisor first, then inform your consultant so we can support and resolve the issue.
General.
Can I be moved to another site or role?
Possibly. Speak to your consultant if you’re looking for alternative work or additional shifts.
What standards of behaviour are expected?
You’re expected to act professionally at all times, follow site rules, and comply with health & safety requirements.
Where can I get further help?
If it’s not covered here, contact your consultant – no question is too small.
