Get Skilled. Get Ahead. Build Your Future in QLD.
At Fetch, we understand how valuable skills and training are in Queensland’s construction sector. While we don’t offer training ourselves, we’ve outlined key programs and government-backed pathways to help you find the right opportunities to upskill and grow your career.
Free TAFE.
The Queensland Government offers free TAFE courses in high-demand industries like construction for eligible people under 25. Courses include carpentry, civil construction, and more.
User Choice Program.
Funds nationally recognised training through apprenticeships and traineeships, allowing you to choose a preferred training provider from a pre-approved list.
CSQ.
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) offers funding and support for construction workers looking to upskill, including short courses and higher qualifications.
DESBT Career Support.
The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training offers career planning help, course guidance, and info on funded training options across QLD.
Apprenticeships.
Get paid while learning a trade like carpentry, plumbing, or electrical. These programs typically run for 3–4 years and lead to formal qualifications.
Traineeships.
Earn and learn in non-trade roles across construction — such as project admin or WHS support — often completed in 1–2 years.
