Fetch Recruitment are looking for reliable and hands-on  Trade Assistants  to join our team across residential and commercial construction, joinery, shopfitting and fit-out projects in Melbourne's CBD & North areas.

About the Role: As a Trade Assistant, you will be working alongside qualified tradespeople and site teams assisting with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Moving, loading and unloading materials and equipment
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Cutting, drilling, grinding and basic fabrication work
  • Preparing work areas and maintaining clean and organised sites
  • Assisting with installation, dismantling and maintenance work
  • Basic measuring, marking and material preparation
  • Using ladders, trolleys, lifting equipment and other site equipment where authorised
  • Following instructions from supervisors and qualified tradespeople
  • Working safely around machinery, vehicles, tools and other site hazards
  • Completing other reasonable duties required to keep projects running efficiently
Tools required:
  • Drills & impact drivers
  • Hammers & screwdrivers
  • Tape measures & levels
  • Saws & grinders
  • Basic hand & power tools

Requirements:
  • White card
  • Own transport
  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
  • Safety-conscious
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Capable of working independently when required
  • Professional and respectful on site
