We’re currently seeking qualified Electrical Spotters for upcoming civil and construction works in and around Horsham, VIC. These roles involve both underground and overhead spotting on a range of subdivision and infrastructure projects.
THE ROLE
As a Spotter, you’ll work alongside plant operators, excavators, and civil crews to maintain site safety around electrical, communication, and service assets. You’ll be responsible for observing plant movements, maintaining exclusion zones, and ensuring compliance with Energy Safe Victoria regulations.
Day-to-day tasks include monitoring work near:
- Overhead and underground electricity – low and high voltage
- Telecommunication lines
- Water and drainage services
- Sewer infrastructure
- Gas mains and pipelines
You’ll play a key role in upholding on-site safety, communicating clearly with operators and supervisors, and ensuring all PPE and safety measures are followed at all times.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience spotting for excavators and civil plant on construction sites
- Spotters Ticket along with current First Aid and CPR
- Experience with overhead spotting highly regarded
- Valid White Card
- Relevant plant tickets (Excavator or Dogman desirable)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
PAY & BENEFITS
- $42.15+ per hour (based on experience)
- $21.94 daily travel allowance
- $19.00 daily meal allowance (after 9.5 hrs worked)
