An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a $5M new build food processing facility, located in Alexandria – just 15 minutes from Sydney CBD.
My client is a highly respected Melbourne-based industrial builder with an exceptional track record delivering quality commercial and warehouse projects.
With a strong pipeline and a strategic National Expansion underway, they are seeking a proven Site Manager to play a key role in their NSW growth.
This is a 6-month contract commencing in approximately 2 weeks.
The Project
- $5M new build food processing facility
- Brownfield site
- Industrial / warehouse style construction
- Alexandria location
You will take full ownership of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting directly to Melbourne Head Office, you will provide consistent progress updates and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall site management and coordination of trades and subcontractors
- Programming and short-term scheduling
- Driving programme to achieve milestones and completion deadlines
- Site safety leadership and WHS compliance
- Toolbox talks and inductions
- Quality control and defect management
- Procurement coordination and materials management
- Client liaison and stakeholder communication
- Chairing site meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings
- Managing inspections, certifications and authority approvals
- Daily site reporting and detailed progress reporting to Head Office
- Maintaining accurate project documentation
- Proven experience delivering new build commercial or industrial warehouse projects
- Industrial construction exposure highly regarded
- Experience managing brownfield builds preferred
- Strong leadership and trade coordination capability
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and methodology
- Impeccable computer literacy (essential) – confident producing detailed reports for Head Office
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to drive programme and maintain high standards under pressure
- Current level 2 First Aid
- Degree/Diploma or Carpentry Qualifications
- Proven experience of no less than 5 years Site Management on Commercial or Industrial new builds
