The OpportunityJoin a delivery-focused project team responsible for the successful execution of a large-scale mechanical services package. This role suits a technically strong Site Engineer who can manage the day-to-day engineering function on site and drive outcomes across quality, programme, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage design coordination and support the delivery team with engineering input
- Raise and track RFIs, technical queries, and submittals
- Support procurement planning and package tracking
- Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, and commissioning teams
- Provide technical oversight across installation methodologies including:
- Chilled water and heating hot water
- Ventilation systems
- BMS interfaces
- Medical support systems and associated services
- Maintain strong focus on QA/compliance, documentation, and site reporting
- Proactively identify and resolve construction/design issues
- Communicate effectively with consultants, builders, and client reps
- Mechanical Engineering qualification(or equivalent)
- Proven site-based delivery experience across HVAC / mechanical services projects
- Healthcare project experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of mechanical services installation and commissioning processes
- Confident stakeholder management and clear communication style
- Experience in live hospital environments or other critical infrastructure(highly regarded)
- Permanent role on a major project in Cairns
