The Site Engineer supports the delivery of civil subdivision projects by managing site activities, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental compliance, and providing technical input to facilitate efficient construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of subdivision construction activities, including roads, drainage, sewer, water reticulation, and utilities.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure work is carried out correctly.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timelines and quality requirements are met.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Support the preparation of project documentation such as ITPs, RFI submissions, and as-builts.
  • Liaise with surveyors to manage set-outs and ensure works align with design.
  • Maintain accurate daily site records, including diaries, QA checklists, and reporting on progress and issues.
  • Assist in procurement of materials and scheduling deliveries in line with project program.
  • Ensure all works adhere to relevant standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years' experience in civil infrastructure or subdivision works (graduates with relevant internships may be considered).
  • Strong understanding of civil construction principles and relevant standards (e.g. Austroads, WSAA codes).
  • Competent in reading and interpreting civil and structural drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or QA software (e.g. Aconex, Procore) is desirable.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with site teams, consultants, and clients.
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental management.
