This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HSEQ professional to take ownership of safety, quality and environmental outcomes on a flagship commercial project. Working closely with the project leadership team, you will play a key role in driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance and supporting the successful delivery of a high-profile development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the project's HSEQ Management System.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company procedures and legislative requirements.
- Mentor and support site teams, supervisors and subcontractors in achieving best-practice HSEQ performance.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Facilitate site inductions, toolbox talks, safety meetings and ongoing engagement initiatives.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project-specific HSEQ requirements.
- Provide expert advice to project teams on safety legislation, risk management and industry best practice.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality and environmental performance while maintaining project documentation and reporting.
About You
- Previous experience as a Senior HSEQ Advisor, HSEQ Advisor or Safety Advisor within commercial construction.
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety as a minimum (Diploma highly regarded).
- Strong understanding of Victorian WHS legislation and commercial construction environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing HSEQ outcomes on medium to large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships across all levels of a project.
- Experience using systems such as HammerTech, Procore or similar construction management platforms.
