Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a role where you can genuinely take ownership of the finance function?
We're partnering with a successful and growing commercial services business based in North Melbourne that is seeking a hands-on Senior Bookkeeper to become a key part of the leadership team.
Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll be trusted to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business while providing valuable commercial support across the wider organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, taking initiative, and being the go-to person for all finance-related matters.

The Role
- End-to-end bookkeeping and finance management
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and debtor management
- Payroll processing and superannuation
- BAS, IAS and statutory compliance
- Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Monthly reporting, reconciliations and financial administration
- Liaising with external accountants
- Supporting business operations and office administration where required
About YouTo be successful, you will have:
- 8+ years' local bookkeeping experience
- Experience within construction, plumbing, electrical, engineering, manufacturing, trade services or a similar project-based environment
- Strong understanding of payroll, BAS, IAS and compliance obligations
- Experience managing a finance function with minimal supervision
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar
