We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a major data centre project based in Brooklyn, Melbourne. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established civil contractor delivering key packages including piling, bulk earthworks, and pavements.
This role will suit a driven engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and has strong experience managing subcontractors, coordinating site activities, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day engineering activities across piling, earthworks, and pavement works.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors to ensure productivity, quality, and programme targets are achieved.
- Monitor project schedules and assist with short-term and long-term planning.
- Review and manage ITPs, SWMS, and quality documentation.
- Support commercial activities, including progress claims, variations, and cost tracking.
- Liaise with site supervisors, project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues on site.
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer on large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in piling, bulk earthworks, and pavement construction.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain strong site relationships.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of project controls, quality systems, and safety requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive project outcomes.
