National Tier 2 commercial builder looking for a driven Project Coordinator to join their site-based team on a landmark school redevelopment project in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal role on a high-value, community-impacting project, with a builder known for delivering complex institutional and educational builds across Victoria and interstate.
The Role:
As Project Coordinator, you’ll be site-based and support the Project Manager and wider delivery team in executing the day-to-day coordination and documentation of this significant build.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating design documentation, RFIs, and shop drawings
- Managing and tracking project variations and progress claims
- Liaising with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Supporting procurement processes and materials tracking
- Maintaining up-to-date project documentation and registers
- Conducting site inspections and quality checks alongside site team
- Supporting head contract administration and compliance requirements
- Assisting with project planning, program tracking, and reporting
- Ensuring health & safety documentation is maintained
- Supporting stakeholder and client communications when required
You’ll come from a construction background, ideally with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 commercial builder, and have at least 3 years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Contract Administrator or similar delivery support role. Key attributes include:
- A relevant construction or engineering qualification
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with project management software (e.g., Procore, Aconex)
- Excellent communication and document control skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, site-based environment
