This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience working in trenches and pipe-laying who takes pride in delivering high‑quality civil works safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install storm-water and sewer pipes to line and level specifications.
- Read and interpret plans, levels, and set‑outs to ensure accurate installation.
- Assist excavator operators with pipe alignment, bedding, and back-filling.
- Fit and join pipes using PVC, concrete, and HDPE materials.
- Maintain accurate measurements using laser levels and survey equipment.
- Collaborate with the drainage team to meet project time-lines and quality objectives.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in civil drainage or sewer pipe-laying.
- Understanding of set‑out levels, trenching requirements, and pipe bedding techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently within a small team and adapt to changing site conditions.
- Good communication skills and reliability in a fast‑paced civil environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a pipe-layer in civil construction (storm-water/sewer).
- White Card and relevant industry tickets.
- Physically fit for trench and pipework duties.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Availability for overtime and weekend work when required.
