The Role:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee operational performance across the business, ensuring projects are properly resourced, teams are supported and operations run efficiently and safely.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing site crews, supervisors and operational personnel
- Overseeing plant and machinery
- Coordinating labour allocation, subcontractors and logistics across projects
- Leading recruitment, workforce planning and onboarding
- Supporting project delivery teams to maintain productivity and programme targets
- Driving operational improvements, systems and processes as the business grows
- Monitoring safety, compliance and quality outcomes across operations
- Assisting with forecasting, planning and business growth initiatives
- Strong background in civil construction operations or project delivery
- Experience managing multiple crews, plant and projects simultaneously
- Confident leader with strong communication and people management skills
- Commercially aware and able to work closely with senior leadership
- Able to balance hands-on operational involvement with strategic planning
- Previous experience in a senior operations, construction or project management role within civil contracting
- Competitive salary package of $190k – $210k base + vehicle + incentives
