We are looking for experienced GPS Excavator, Moxy, Posi, Loader and other plant operators to join one of Australia’s leading civil contractors, specialising in wind farms, service roads, and transmission line projects. With ongoing works across Queensland, including Far North and South East regions, this is a great opportunity to secure a full-time position.

Your Day-to-Day
- Operate GPS excavators to complete bulk earthworks, trenching, and detailed final trims for substation pads, service roads, and foundation areas.
- Load, haul, and spread materials such as rock, gravel, and topsoil using Moxy dump trucks, loaders, and posi to support access road and tower pad construction.
- Carry out excavation and backfilling for electrical trenching, cable ducts, and piling works around transmission line and substation sites.
- Assist with site preparation including stripping, levelling, and compacting ground to required specifications for tower bases and crane access areas.
- Follow daily work plans and GPS models to maintain design accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct pre-start inspections, routine maintenance checks, and report any hazards or equipment defects to supervisors.
- Work in coordination with rigging, crane, and piling crews during foundation laying, bridge support works, and powerline structure installation.
- Uphold strict safety and environmental standards across remote project sites, ensuring compliance with company and client procedures.
What You Need to Have
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ recent experience operating relevant plant and equipment (Excavator, Moxy, Posi, Loader) on civil construction projects.
- Proven competency with GPS systems for precise earthworks and final trims.
- Current Construction White Card.
- Relevant plant operation tickets and licences for each machine operated (e.g., excavator, loader, Moxy).
- Ability and willingness to work a 20:8 roster (20 days on site, 8 days off), including travel and remote location assignments.
- Reliable work history showing strong attendance and positive attitude within a team environment.
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks and outdoor work in varying conditions.
- Ability and willingness to work across multiple regions, with flexibility for travel, remote site work, and varied shifts as required.
