We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced Mechanical Fitters to assist with a short-term shutdown project running for 7 days. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-managed shutdown with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out maintenance and repair work on fixed plant and mechanical equipment
- Dismantling, inspecting, and reassembling machinery to meet shutdown requirements
- Following site safety procedures and contributing to a safe work environment
- Working effectively with other trades and supervisors to meet deadlines
- Recognised Mechanical Fitting Trade Qualification (Cert III or equivalent)
- Previous experience in shutdowns, maintenance, or heavy industry
- Valid Confined Space and Working at Heights (must be current)
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
- Short-term casual work with competitive rates
- Well-organised site with experienced team and good conditions
