We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established general engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and reliable tradesperson with strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills to secure a long-term casual assignment through to January.
Working on day shift, you will be involved in a variety of general engineering tasks, mechanical assembly and fitting work within a hands-on workshop environment.
Immediate interviews are available, with an ASAP start for the right candidate!
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of components and equipment
- Carrying out general engineering and workshop duties
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Using hand and power tools to complete assembly work
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or relevant mechanical fitting experience
- Experience in general engineering, mechanical assembly or manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Available to commence ASAP and commit to the assignment through to January
- $58–$60 per hour + super
- Day shift hours
