We’re currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join an established plastic extrusion manufacturing business in Melbourne’s west.
This is a full-time opportunity working across production and extrusion equipment, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, breakdowns and keeping machinery running reliably.
The Role
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across plastic extrusion equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Carry out mechanical repairs, adjustments and machinery improvements
- Assist with planned maintenance and minimise production downtime
- Work closely with production to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Fitter
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and breakdown experience
- Experience with production or extrusion machinery highly regarded
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance
- Strong safety focus and ability to work independently
- $50 per hour
- Full-time ongoing position
- Monday–Friday day shift
- Overtime available as required
- Stable manufacturing environment
- Melbourne’s west location
