Our client is an established food manufacturing business based in Melbourne's South East, supplying quality food products through a busy production and packaging operation.
Due to ongoing production requirements, they are looking to add experienced Machine Operators to their team across afternoon and night shift.
Available Shifts & Rates
Afternoon Shift
- 3:00pm – 11:00pm
- $37–$41 per hour + 15% shift loading
- 10:00pm – 6:00am
- $37–$41 per hour + 30% shift loading
- Higher rates negotiable for experienced senior operators.
Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for operating production and packaging machinery, maintaining output and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.
The role will involve a combination of production, packaging and sanitation duties, with opportunities for experienced operators to take on greater responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring production and packaging machinery.
- Operating flow wrapping equipment and ensuring consistent packaging quality.
- Completing machine adjustments and troubleshooting minor operational issues.
- Assisting with production line changeovers and maintaining production output.
- Undertaking cleaning and sanitation duties across machinery and production areas.
- Completing quality checks and following food safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production.
- Experience operating production or packaging machinery.
- Flow wrapper experience highly regarded.
- Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements.
- Reliable, hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Senior operator or team leadership experience highly regarded, particularly for night shift opportunities.
- Competitive hourly rates with additional shift loadings.
