Fetch Recruitment has partnered with a growing and leading architecture builder in Melbourne, who are seeking to add an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to their team, who will play a key role in delivering high-end architectural builds across Melbourne.
Working on projects valued between $2M and $5M, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of 3 carpenters, coordinating day-to-day carpentry activities and helping ensure projects are delivered to a high standard of quality, safety and workmanship.

The Role
Working closely with the Site Supervisor and Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and coordinating a team of 3 carpenters on site
- Organising daily carpentry works and allocating tasks to the team
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, plans and specifications
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project requirements
- Carpentry across all stages of the builds - set out, frame, lock up & fix
- Maintaining strong attention to detail across all stages of construction
- Setting the standard for quality workmanship, professionalism and site culture
About You
You’ll be an experienced carpenter with a strong background in high-end residential or architectural construction. You take pride in your work, have excellent attention to detail and are confident leading others on site.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has solid experience in carpentry and architectural/high-end residential construction
- Can confidently lead and coordinate a small team
- Has a strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing
- Can read and interpret plans and architectural drawings
- Takes pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Is organised, reliable and proactive
- Communicates well with supervisors, project managers, trades and clients
- Leads by example and takes ownership of their work
- Holds a current White Card and relevant carpentry qualifications
