Fetch Maintenance Services is a trusted provider of labour hire solutions for the mining industry across Australia. We partner with a range of contractors and owner-operators, offering diverse opportunities in roles, rosters, pay rates, and site locations.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand Boilermaker to join our clients Mackay-based workshop team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and team performance, and is ready to step up and lead from the front.

About the Role - Leading Hand Boilermaker
  • Day shift only – no nights
  • Lead as a hands-on senior boilermaker within the workshop
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of boilermakers and trades assistants
  • Perform fabrication, welding, and repairs on crushing and screening equipment and associated components
  • Carry out structural repairs, wear plate replacement, and modifications to plant and equipment
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
  • Assist with shutdown preparation and major rebuild projects
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping
  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture

Essential Criteria
  • Current and valid driver's licence
  • Australian-recognised Boilermaker / Fabrication Trade Certificate
  • Minimum 3–5 years post-trade experience
  • Strong fabrication and welding skills (MIG, Stick, FCAW)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Proven ability to mentor and support tradespeople and apprentices
  • Sound understanding of safety and workshop procedures
  • Full Australian working rights
