The core of the business stretches across commercial fit-out, refurbishment and defence related projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial handover through to completion, working closely with clients, builders, consultants, and internal delivery teams. In addition, the opportunity exists for the right person to take on a more senior role, managing a team of project managers.
This is a hands-on role suited to a Project Manager who enjoys the fast-paced nature of fit-out and refurb works and can confidently manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
You’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of HVAC projects, including:
- Managing projects from contract award through to practical completion
- Managing project budgets, costs, variations and commercial outcomes
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and site teams
- Working closely with builders and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Managing project programs, procurement and installation
- Reviewing designs, drawings and technical documentation
- Leading project meetings and maintaining strong client relationships
- Managing QA, safety and compliance requirements
- Identifying and resolving project issues before they impact delivery
- Supporting and mentoring Project Coordinators and junior team members where required
- Mentoring other members of the project management team
We’re looking for an experienced HVAC Project Manager who brings:
- 5+ years' experience managing HVAC/mechanical projects
- Strong experience across commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects in the Melbourne market
- A solid understanding of HVAC installation, construction methodology and project delivery
- Proven commercial and financial management capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
- Experience working for an HVAC/mechanical contractor in Australia
