My client is a leading Victorian civil engineering and construction business delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions across water, transport, roadworks, earthworks and project management. With a strong commitment to safety, collaboration and excellence, they work closely with clients to exceed expectations on complex civil projects.
The Role:
- Head office-based safety systems advisor, collaborating directly with the operations manager.
- Multiple offices throughout Melbourn - centrally and SE based.
- Driving safety procedures from a site perspective, training and developing site teams with perfect safety practises.
- Develop and maintain safety management systems to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate incident reporting, investigation, and analysis to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identifications across different work areas and activities.
- Maintain safety documentation and records such as training logs, inspection reports, and incident registers.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing evidence, facilitating inspections, and addressing non-conformances.
- Effective administration and communication with subbies, project management and client/s.
- Monday to Friday position, standard working hours.
Must have:
- Strong IT technical skills.
- Ideally a proficient background working within the civil construction field.
- Must hold a minimum certificate 4 in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Australian drivers license.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams.
- Excellent communication.
