This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging safety professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working closely with an experienced HSEQ Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the company's Integrated Management System (IMS), supporting project teams, coordinating training, assisting with audits and driving a positive safety culture across the business.
Based primarily in a modern office environment in Melbourne's inner east, the role will also provide exposure to active construction sites, allowing you to develop both your technical and practical HSEQ knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Assist with HSEQ administration, reporting and document control.
- Coordinate employee and contractor training programs.
- Support project mobilisation activities, including management plans and site setup.
- Assist with ISO certification audits and compliance initiatives.
- Maintain and improve HSEQ systems and software platforms.
- Support incident investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and environmental responsibility across the business.
About You
- Previous experience within construction, infrastructure or a related industry.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Construction White Card and current driver's licence.
- Cert III or Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (desirable).
- Exposure to HammerTech, Procore, Aconex or similar platforms will be highly regarded.
