About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a recent or soon-to-be graduate to commence their career as a HSE Coordinator.
Working alongside experienced HSE professionals, Project Managers and Site Managers, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting health, safety and environmental performance across a range of commercial construction projects. This is a practical, site-based role where you'll spend significant time engaging with project teams, subcontractors and workers to help promote a positive safety culture.
Full training, mentoring and professional development will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone eager to learn and build a long-term career in construction safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site safety inspections and identify hazards.
- Support compliance with Victorian OH&S legislation, company procedures and client requirements.
- Assist with maintaining safety documentation, SWMS and permits.
- Participate in incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
- Deliver site inductions and participate in toolbox talks.
- Assist with safety audits, inspections and reporting.
- Support subcontractor onboarding and compliance.
- Maintain electronic safety records and registers.
- Build positive relationships with project teams to encourage safe work practices.
About You

- The ability to work both independently and within a team.
Essential Requirements
- Completed or currently completing a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Health, Safety & Environment or a related discipline.
- Current Victorian Driver License.
- Construction White Card.
- Ideally experienced using Procore.
Desirable
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Return to Work Coordinator training.
- Previous construction experience (labouring, trade or work placement).
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 Safety Management Systems.
