We’re seeking multiple experienced GPS Excavator, Moxy and Loader Operators to join one of Australia’s top civil contractors, specialising in road construction and subdivisions. With ongoing projects in Ipswich and the surrounding areas, this is your chance to secure long-term, temp-to-perm work, excellent career progression, and industry-leading pay.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Trimming verge and road reserves to finish level
  • Box outs for kerb, crossover, or service trenches
  • Cutting to levels for stormwater, sewer, or NBN conduits
  • Working around live services or completed sections of the subdivision
  • Supporting pipe crews or drainage teams by spot digging
  • Backfill trenches and other earthworks areas to spec
  • Trim batters and pads for final inspections or compaction
  • Carry out clean-up cuts around services and structures like pits, manholes, or retaining walls
 
What You Need to Have
  • Minimum 1 year experience operating Excavators 
  • Preferred experience operating machines with GPS Topcon, Trimble or UTS system
  • License + Car - Some of our projects are hard to reach so we require you to have reliable transport to get to site
  • High attention to detail and patience
  • Strong understanding of levels, fall, and GPS technology (GPS not essential)
  • Ability to work independently and think ahead
  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Willingness to work 10-hour days, 5–6 days/week, including overtime and weekends as required
 
This is a  TEMP TO PERM  opportunity (reviewed at 3 and 6 months), increasing pay rates once set milestones are achieved. This is an ongoing position where you will be working 10 hour days, 5/6 days per week.
