I'm currently recruiting for experienced Mechanical Fitters for a number of clients on nightshift. This is a great opportunity for qualified fitters looking for stable, ongoing work in a busy and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Interpreting technical drawings and work instructions
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Working to site safety and quality standards
- Typical Hours: 10pm – 6am (may vary slightly)
- Roster: Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday
- Location: Various sites in Melbourne
- Overtime: Available during busy periods
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting)
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy engineering environments
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently on nightshift
- Strong commitment to safety procedures
- Forklift, confined space, or working at heights tickets
