About the Role:
This is a dual-role position combining drafting and estimating responsibilities. The successful candidate will produce detailed shop drawings for custom cabinetry projects and prepare accurate cost estimates from plans and site information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate CAD shop drawings for kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, and other joinery
- Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Liaise with project managers, designers, and factory staff to ensure drawings align with production requirements
- Prepare take-offs and cost estimates for custom joinery projects
- Assist with pricing, quotes, and tenders
- Help ensure projects stay within budget and timelines
- Experience in the cabinet making or joinery industry
- Proficiency with drafting software such as Cabinet Vision or AutoCAD
- Estimating experience in joinery highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Trade qualification or technical drafting training preferred
