A leading Civil Construction company is looking for an experienced Dogman with the flexibility to assist with general labouring duties on drainage, stormwater, and sewer projects across Melbourne’s western suburbs. This role combines operating as a qualified Dogman for lifting operations with supporting the crew on the ground to keep projects moving efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Safely sling and direct loads during lifting operations in line with safety standards.
- Work closely with crane operators, site foremen, and crews to ensure smooth and safe lifts.
- Assist with trench preparation, excavation support, and general site labouring when required.
- Help with pipe installation tasks, tool handling, and backfilling.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite.
- Follow safety protocols at all times and report hazards or site issues promptly.
- Support drainage crew workflow through teamwork and hands-on assistance.
- Proficiency in dogging techniques and load management.
- Strong attention to safety in high-risk environments.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to get hands-on with labouring tasks when not dogging.
- Adaptability to changing site requirements and duties.
- Current and valid Dogman Ticket.
- Experience in civil construction, ideally drainage, stormwater, or sewer.
- Physical ability for manual labour, including lifting and trench work.
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.
