CNC Machinist / Supervisor – Day Shift 

Location: Kilsyth, VIC

Join a Precision Manufacturing TeamWe are a well-established precision manufacturing business based in Kilsyth, producing high-quality precision components for a diverse range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Supervisor to join our day shift team.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys machining, mentoring others, and ensuring quality and productivity on the workshop floor.
About the RoleAs our CNC Machinist / Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating and supervising CNC machining activities while supporting the day-to-day performance of the production team. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, meeting production schedules, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machining centres.
  • Supervise and support a team of machinists during day shift operations.
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machining and production issues.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient workshop environment.
  • Assist with process improvements and workflow optimisation.
  • CNC programming (preferred but not essential).
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, or the ability to step into a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining practices, tooling, and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • CNC programming experience is highly regarded.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.
