This is, ongoing casual work right through to Christmas (and likely beyond), with good pay, daily allowances, and a real chance to move into machinery if you’re keen.
The work
- You’ll be working on live civil sites helping subcontractors and supervisors.
- Concreting, drainage, and stormwater works
- Trenching and installing electrical and NBN conduits
- General site duties: setup, fencing, flagging, moving materials
- Landscaping - mulching, planting, retaining walls
- Spotting machinery and working as part of a crew
- Operating machinery (roller, loader, moxy, etc.) if you’ve got the tickets
- Sites are spread across Melbourne’s west, north west and out to Geelong, so you’ll need your own reliable transport and be okay with travelling within this area.
What’s on offer
- Pay: $38.74/hour (for candidates with civil experience)
- Travel allowance: $22.41 per day
- Meal allowance: $19.74 (after 9.5 hours worked)
- Steady hours - consistent work through to Christmas
- Daily overtime when available
- Pathway into plant – roller, loader, moxy, etc. with training and support for the right people
What we’re looking for
- 6–12+ months of recent civil labouring experience (pipe-laying, drainage, concreting, etc.)
- Available to start straight away
- White Card (must have)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Must be able to provide valid and up to date work references
- Happy to do drug & alcohol testing
- Plant/machinery tickets are a bonus.
