A leading Civil Construction company is seeking experienced Civil Labourers to join their crew in Melbourne’s northern suburbs for upcoming projects in 2026. These works include large‑scale road, drainage, and infrastructure developments across key growth areas. This role suits someone reliable, hardworking, and eager to grow within a supportive civil crew environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist trades and operators on site with trenching, backfilling, and pipe laying support.
- Perform general labouring tasks including spotting, shovelling, and site clean‑up.
- Work alongside excavator operators and pipelayers to maintain safe and efficient site operations.
- Follow site safety protocols and carry out tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Operate compacting and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Previous experience in civil works such as road, drainage, or subdivision projects.
- Understanding of trenching safety and general civil construction practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high safety standards.
- Team‑orientated attitude with good communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
- Current White Card and relevant tickets (roller, excavator, or spotter tickets highly regarded).
- Experience in civil infrastructure or drainage labouring.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Availability for overtime and weekend work when required.
- Competitive hourly rates with penalties, travel, and superannuation.
- Long‑term civil work with consistent project pipeline.
