Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry repairs, installation, and maintenance on campus buildings and structures, including walls, doors, floors, windows, ceilings, and roofs
- Install and maintain furniture, shelving, and other fixtures in classrooms, offices, apartments and other spaces
- Repair and install drywall, patch holes, and apply plaster or other finishing materials as needed
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as painting, sealing, and weatherproofing
- Work in conjunction with other maintenance team members to identify and prioritize tasks, and communicate progress to Facilities Manager
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and complete work in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate regularly with faculty and staff regarding maintenance and repair work, and provide excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of carpentry experience
- Working With Childrens Check (bonus)
- Strong problem - solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other maintenance team members
- Experience with carpentry tools and equipment such as saws, drills, and sanders
