Job Overview:
We have several maintenance carpentry roles within schools, universities and commercial properties. This includes repair, upkeep, installations and general carpentry work to ensure that the building is secure, presentable and functional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ongoing upkeep of commercial or residential properties
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests
- Handling and installing specialized fixtures and fittings
- Installing cabinetry, shelving, and joinery
- Patching holes in plaster / drywall
- Ensuring all materials are installed according to design and specification.
- Ensuring buildings meet safety and compliance standards
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in maintenance and lock-up and fix carpentry, particularly in commercial environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially with respect to on-site challenges
- Good communication and teamwork skills – ability to build a report with clients
- Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks.
- Trade certification in carpentry.
