Our client is an established Australian business specialising in structural steel fabrication and installation across commercial and construction projects. Due to continued project demand, they are looking for two experienced Boilermakers to join their team.
About the RolesTwo positions are available in Melbourne's northern suburbs:
Site-Based Boilermaker
Working across construction sites, you'll be responsible for structural steel fabrication, installation and welding, working from engineering drawings and ensuring work is completed safely and to specification.
Factory-Based Boilermaker
Working within a dedicated fabrication workshop, you'll manufacture and assemble structural steel components, completing MIG welding, fabrication and general workshop duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Perform quality MIG welding
- Measure, mark out and prepare materials
- Complete structural steel installation for the site-based position
- Operate workshop machinery and equipment
- Conduct quality checks throughout fabrication
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment
- Work to project deadlines and quality standards
- Trade qualification in Engineering – Fabrication preferred
- Strong structural steel fabrication experience
- Confident MIG welding skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with heavy or structural steel
- Site experience highly regarded for the site-based position
- Strong commitment to safety
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively within a team
- $50–$55 per hour depending on experience
