About the Role
Working as part of a skilled fabrication team, you'll manufacture and assemble structural steel components used in large-scale building projects. This is a workshop-based role offering consistent hours and ongoing work for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate structural steel components from engineering drawings
- Perform high-quality MIG welding
- Assemble fabricated components to specification
- Measure, mark out and prepare materials
- Conduct quality inspections throughout fabrication
- Operate workshop machinery and equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines
- Trade qualification in Engineering - Fabrication (preferred)
- Strong fabrication and MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working with structural steel or heavy fabrication
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- $50-$55 per hour depending on experience
