Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the asphalt paving crew.
- Ensure safe work practices are followed in compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Plan, organize, and assign tasks based on project requirements and timelines.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate project goals and timelines.
- Monitor and manage equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Train and mentor crew members, promoting teamwork and job performance.
- Maintain accurate records of daily production, labor, materials, and job site conditions.
- Identify and resolve work problems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in construction or paving is a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in asphalt paving, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license
