Your Day-to-Day
- Laying and compacting asphalt on roads, major infrastructure, and subdivisions
- Raking, levelling, prepping surfaces, and assisting with site clean-up
- Operating rollers and/or working alongside paver machines
- Supporting the operation of bitumen sprayers, pavers, and other machinery
- Routine manhole and sheet patching repairs, gravel and asphalt pavements
- Setting up barricades and implementing traffic management principles
- Participating in pre-start checks and regular toolbox meetings
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work area
What You Need to Have
- Previous experience on asphalt crews or in a similar field (essential for most roles)
- VOCs/tickets for Paver or Roller (desirable, not essential)
- Construction Induction White Card
- Current C Class driver’s licence & own reliable transport (MR/HR licence advantageous)
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude
- Commitment to safety and quality, with strong knowledge of OH&S
- Willingness to work 10-hour days, 5–6 days/week, including overtime and weekends as required
About You
- Demonstrated experience (ideally 1–2 years) in asphalt or civil construction roles
- Ability to multi-task and operate various equipment on site
- Road and traffic awareness, with a focus on maintaining a safe work environment
- Eager to learn, upskill, and progress within a leading civil construction team
