Estimator - Commercial Construction

My client, a medium-sized, Tier 3 commercial builder with over 20 years' experience in the Melbourne market, seeks an Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team.

With a portfolio of Education, Sport & Recreation, Health, Commercial and Hospitality projects ranging $100k-10m and a secure pipeline of work for the coming years, this an opportunity to join a solid, dynamic team that offers security and professional development.

You will be responsible for:

• Evaluate and advise costs and estimates on commercial projects and alternative proposals
• Analyse tenders with subcontractors
• Detailed construction estimating
• Prepare bills of quantities and cost analysis
• Prepare tender submissions and take-offs
• Liaise with a range of stakeholders such as suppliers and subcontractors
• Reporting into the Estimating Manager

• Flexible on project types with solid client relation skills
• Commercially astute
• Well developed written and verbal communication
• Thrive in a fast paced environment
• Willing to learn and to mentor junior staff

You must have:

• Tertiary qualification relevant to Construction
• Proven experience in an Estimator role with a Melbourne based commercial builder
• A strong ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and subcontractors
• An attitude which reflects our client's culture which is positive, and solutions focused
• Outstanding time management, problem solving and organisational skills
