Operations Manager - Commercial fit-out company

• Commercial fit-out projects up to $1M

This is an extremely rare opportunity!

As Operations Manager you will report into the directors but have full autonomy of the construction operations and be pivotal in assisting an established company evolve into an industry leader.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following;

• Ensuring all the projects are delivered efficiently and effectively to timescales and budgets
• Provide advice and vision on all projects
• Be able to lead and negotiate on all levels of the projects themselves
• Business development
• Identify new business opportunities and increase company revenue
• Manage all human resources requirements
• To lead and oversee the development of methodologies and execution of all site based construction activities to meet targets of the project or program and budget
• Implement and oversee OHS policies and procedures
• Implement and oversee internal systems and processes as required

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this Operations role you will have proven experience in a managerial position for a commercial construction company in Melbourne. You will have strong negotiation and influencing skills with the capacity to lead, inspire and develop construction teams.

In addition you will have the following attributes:

• Proven ability to manage projects/programs to deliver target financial outcomes
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal/external stakeholders
• Capability to work within a highly adaptive environment
• Desire to be hands on and drive desirable business outcomes
• An excellent network within commercial construction circles
• Excellent rapport with former clients that could potentially bring in work
• A down to earth professional that wants a long-term career rather than just a job
• An empathetic leader who is not afraid to make some tough decisions
