Job description

Our client is an established commercial construction company who have come through a period of growth the past couple of years.

Now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to be responsible for overseeing end-to-end financial operations for the business. This is a full-time, permanent position that is office-based near Hawthorn. Looking to speak to experienced Finance professionals with a background in the Construction industry seeking their next move.


The Role

Key responsibilities may include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Manage and oversee all financial operations for a medium-sized business, reporting directly to the Company Directors.

  • Management of 1 member of staff and overarching responsibility for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets

  • Day to day cash flow management.

  • Account reconciliations.

  • Work with the Company Directors to provide advice on financial performance of the business and all matters relating to project financing.


The Person

The ideal candidate will bring to the table the following skills and prior experience:

  • CA / CPA strongly preferred but may be overlooked in lieu of experience.

  • Previous experience working as a Senior Accountant (in a people management / supervisory capacity) or Finance Manager in the Construction industry.

  • Construction industry experience essential as is exposure working with Jobpac software.
