Due to their reputation as industry leaders and repeat business from their impressive client base they are looking for a Design Manager to join their dedicated team.

The right person will receive a generous salary package and the opportunity to grow with a supportive, progressive team working on varied projects valued up to $40M. You will be working with some of Victoria's best Project Managers, where you will be challenged and developed.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the design process using your commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise
• Looking for value engineering solutions to minimise cost and build time
• Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and the obligations in the development of a building design
• Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales
• Striving to eliminate delays in the project program

Key skills required to succeed

• A strong attention to detail
• A Tertiary qualification in Architecture or a related degree with the equivalent knowledge, skills
• Previous experience as a Project Architect or Design Manager working on commercial projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodology
• Diverse project exposure required
