Position: Associate Consultant

Time in Role: 5 months

Tell us a bit about your career to date and how you got into Recruitment.
I found that through my degree in International Business and my sales/customer service roles in small businesses all the way to larger corporations I had found a passion in businesses and people management. I realised just how important it is for an employee to feel happy and passionate in their role while also discovering what a massive difference a passionate employee can do for a business. Even though I hadn’t heard much about recruitment when someone tapped me on the shoulder -it felt like the industry for me. Since then, this and my love for a chat has made it the best move I could have ever made.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Fetch?
It would have to be the people. I haven’t met a better group of people that are so funny, kind, driven and passionate. They are always available for a chat, to provide support or just to have a laugh with.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about recruitment / your industry?
How fascinating and rewarding the engineering consultancy space within building services and structures is. I don’t think I will ever get over how innovative, iconic and important some of the projects that my clients design are for society. Examples are Hospitals, Labs and Education facilities that will serve the community for years to come.

Number 1 career highlight to date?
It would have to be my first placement. There is no better feeling than knowing you have made a positive impact not only to a client’s company but also to a candidate’s life. That is why I love what I do.

Your life mantra is / Your philosophy on life is / The words you live by are…
Risk it for the biscuit!

If your life were a movie which one would it be?
I wish if my life were a movie, it would be a really interesting, cool movie with me being the protagonist, however, if I was being honest it would most likely be one of Adam Sandler’s movies. A lot of awkward moments making it fun for the audience to watch.

If you were on death row, what would be your last meal?
It would have to be my Nanna’s roast. Perfectly cooked meat, roast potatoes in duck fat, the thickest gravy you’ve ever seen, and I guess the veggies on the side.

Name three things you are grateful for right now.
-My family/friends
-My job at Fetch
-That summer is on the way

Tell us a #FunFact about you!
I was legally deaf until prep.

One job I’m recruiting for RIGHT NOW is:
