Site Manager - Adelaide

Are you an experienced Site Manager, wanting to working side one of the most respected and privately owned contractors?
This market leading mechanical contractor work on Adelaide's largest commercial projects with all your Tier 1 builders. With newly secured projects in and around the state they are now seeking a Mechanical Site Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of good internal/ external working relationships within staff, suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Oversee operations ensuring job progress is as per scheduled.
  • Ensure staff, suppliers and sub-contractors are performing quality of work that is in accordance with the standards at D&E Air Conditioning.
  • Provide D&E Air Conditioning Management with job status and reporting as required.
  • Perform accurate review and monitoring of plans as required.
  • Effective IR/HR management, including performance management.
  • Effective safety management of projects, including compliance with company policy and procedures and contract requirements.
  • Ensure site labour timesheets are completed in line with D&E procedure.
  • Organise and order pipework and consumable materials for project.
  • Manage project plant, material and equipment register for project.
  • Extensive knowledge and pro-active approach to all areas of workplace health and safety. Supervision and coordination
  • Assist Site Leading Hand to carry out his duties.
  • Control and direct labour in conjunction with Project Management and Site Leading Hand.
  • Work as a communication link between site and Project Management.
  • Motivate and lead staff, ensuring a harmonious working environment. Workplace Health & Safety
  • Dedicate sufficient time to assess regulatory and company needs, unsafe acts and conditions, and to consult and advise management of the appropriate prevention and control methods.
  • Conduct WHS&E management audits, risks assessments, and accident/incident investigations.
  • Ensure all staff are compliant with PPE and legislation

A bit about you:

  • Extensive knowledge of construction industry and relevant codes.
  • Experience as Site Foreman in similar role.
  • Mechanical background.
  • Proven Project Management skills.
  • Construction Industry Card (White Card).
  • Current Workplace Health & Safety training.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Workplace Health & Safety, First aid and dangerous good qualifications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate with internal and external suppliers.
  • Exceptional supervisory and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing a quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
