Job Title: Gas Engineer - APA/Multinet Project Experience Required

We are currently seeking a skilled Gas Engineer with previous experience working on APA or Multinet projects to join our team for a major gas infrastructure project.
Job Overview: As a Gas Engineer with APA or Multinet project experience, you will be responsible for managing the gas infrastructure for a major gas infrastructure project. You will utilize your experience and knowledge of APA or Multinet systems and processes to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of the gas infrastructure. Experience with project pre-commencement activities including managing contractors, materials, cost control and preparation of site documentation would also be beneficial.
Primary Purpose of the Position: The Project Engineer takes strong personal ownership of small projects or subsets of larger projects through stages of the project management life-cycle including safely and profitably delivering and closing out projects in accordance with the companies project management systems. In doing so, the Project Engineer consults and coordinates with other key personnel in the efficient management of resources and mitigation of risks.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage the gas infrastructure for the major gas infrastructure project.

  • Utilize your knowledge and experience of APA or Multinet systems and processes to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate with other project teams to ensure integration and seamless delivery of the overall project.

  • Prepare project reports, presentations, and progress updates for stakeholders and management.

  • Manage contractors, materials, and cost control during pre-commencement activities.

  • Prepare site documentation for pre-commencement activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in a related field such as Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas infrastructure design, construction, or maintenance, with a focus on APA or Multinet systems and processes.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to gas infrastructure, safety, and environment.

  • Familiarity with gas distribution systems, including gas pipelines, valves, regulators, and metering stations.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with relevant software applications, such as AutoCAD, GIS, and MS Project.

Salary Range: The pay rate for this role will be between $120,000 and $140,000 plus superannuation and a vehicle. The salary will be commensurate with experience and level of seniority, with the higher end of the range reserved for more senior candidates.
