About the business

Family owned and operated our client has been operating in Victoria for the last 60 years. They offer a range of painting and maintenance services but specialising in commercial repaint. 80% of their jobs are repaint work on apartment blocks. With a strong pipeline of work lined up they are looking to grow considerably this year and are on a lookout for a leading hand painter or a painting foreman to step in and learn on the job with the intentions to be running their own jobs in the near future.

About the role

Initially the role would include working closely with the current painting foreman while being on the tools. The work mainly includes repaint work on apartments both internal and external. The job would slowly change into a painting foreman position where you will be running the jobs yourself while still being on the tools. The jobs vary from 3 week contracts to 12 month contracts. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to upskill themselves and take that next step in their career.

• Strip out work
• Painting
• Running jobs from start to finish
• Reading plans, OH and S, Ordering Materials
• Client facing

About you

• 5 years plus commercial painting experience
• Experience leading a team
• Ability to read plans
• EWP
• Working with children's check would be beneficial
