About the Business
Our client is a successful builder in the Victorian residential market. They specialise in medium density developments and offer extensive variety in their product, making it a dynamic and stimulating environment to work in. Due to ongoing, stable and predicted growth, they are looking for an experienced Estimator to join the team.

About the Role

Working within a very collaborative team with a supportive Contract Manager you will be responsible for;

  • Create a new job folder in the company format as soon as contract is signed.
  • Ensure all building Permit Applications are correctly filled out and update building permit
  • schedule spreadsheet.
  • Completing pre-site information and dealing with the relevant authorities to ensure targets
  • are met facilitating scheduled construction commencement.
  • Apply for and follow up any construction documentation if not supplied by client.
  • Conduct colour selection consultations for clients, providing variations and ensuring selection room material up to date when required.
  • Ensure all documentation is finalised, signed and up to date on the server, notifying all relevant parties when changes are made.
  • Ensuring Progress claims are invoiced and settled in timeframes required
  • Assist the Contract Administrator Manager, Estimator and Site Manager with quote requests from trades and suppliers.
  • Provide feedback and analytical comparison regarding the supply and deliverables affecting the project where required.
  • Attend client / developer presentations and meetings at their offices or on-site as needed
  • Work closely and in conjunction with the project estimator and project supervisors to ensure best possible client satisfaction and financial outcomes.
  • Processing of Subcontractor Back charges from trades, suppliers and authorities, creating handover packs for each dwelling in-line with
  • Administering Head Contract, including Variations, RFI's & EOT's
  • Management of all Council & Authority related permits throughout the duration of build


To Be Considered

  • Min 2+ years of experience in a CA role working on residential projects
  • Technical experience as far as letting packages is a BONUS etc but not essential
  • Experience with HIA contracts, Council & Building Permit applications required
  • General understanding of project lifecycle, from start to finish
  • Strong communication and customer service required as essentially, acting as client liaison
  • Strong in admin skills as the CA's are the conduit between client and all internal departments here. They are the backbone of Project delivery
  • Knowledge of Melbourne construction market and subcontractors
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • MUST have permanent work rights
