My client are at the forefront of Melbourne’s construction industry, driving innovation and excellence. Now looking to recruit a detail-oriented and dynamic Assistant Accountant with a solid grounding having worked with Payroll previously.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant or Accounts Officer with prior experience working with Payroll to step into an integral role for the business.

The Role

Key Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:
  • Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Maintain and update financial data in the accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure adherence to tax and superannuation regulations, handling payroll queries and discrepancies efficiently.

The Person

The ideal candidate will bring to the table the following skills and prior experiences:

  • Prior experience having worked with Payroll
  • Experience in the Construction industry would be preferred
  • Positive attitude to the workplace, ability to work with and get along with the team and wider business, and an excellent work ethic
