Job description

Are you a Bookkeeper/Administrator looking to work within the construction space? To work alongside a growing and advanced company with an awesome culture with loads of progression opportunities?

The Team Administrator/Bookkeeper will have the primary responsibility of the general bookkeeping and providing administrative support throughout stages of various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Invoicing
  • Credit applications
  • BAS and similar tax requirements
  • Invoice approvals, credit notes and data entry
  • Account Reconciliation through xero
  • Corporate card reconciliation
  • Collection of subcontractor information
  • Insurance payment setup
  • Set up of new projects in relevant files and software. Updating contents of project files when updates are obtained. As well as archiving of completed projects.
  • Organising job specific permits to ensure works can commence without delay, as well as chasing reimbursement of bond once finalised.
  • Generating compliance certificates and forwarding to relevant builders, as well as providing completion report.
  • Prefilling other documents such as back flow prevention tests and other similar documents.
  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email
  • Ability to identify business improvement strategies and opportunities
  • Adhoc administrative duties

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and in particular be familiar with word, Excel and outlook.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of Xero & knowledge of cost centre codes would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in simpro or similar is preferred, although training can be provided
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Able to follow a process and work to a schedule
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to partner and work well with the team
  • Sound computer skills coupled with an efficient and accurate typing ability
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise and exercise discretion
  • Willingness to contribute ideas and work within the admin team to develop best practices
  • Genuinely passionate about personal development and interested in developing themselves
  • At least 3 years of experience in a varied admin support role & bookkeeping
