Born in Ukraine and then raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, Max moved to Melbourne at the start of 2020. With 4 years’ experience recruiting in construction and dealing with both permanent and labour hire, Max fit into the Fetch family seamlessly. A sports enthusiast, he is always keen to play touch rugby, soccer, and volleyball. He enjoys his weekends sampling great cafes and pubs throughout Melbourne and is currently growing the mo for #Movember.

Tell us a bit about your career to date and how you got into Recruitment. I started my professional career as a real-estate agent for 3 years after high school. One of my clients owned a recruitment company and invited me to work for him. I started recruiting in Christchurch and then was offered the opportunity to move to Melbourne to carry on recruiting here. Through my recruitment I have had experience within Engineering as well as the Civil and Construction sectors.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Fetch? Everyone here is great and you feel very much looked after.
What’s one thing you wish people knew about recruitment or your industry?. Because we are dealing with the uncontrollable; people - no one situation is the same. Therefore you need to be adaptable and handle every situation individually.
#1 career highlight to date? Last year I won the 'Up and Coming' award at our annual award ceremony, I would say that's been my biggest highlight here.
The words you live by are… “It is, what it is” – there's no point in dwelling on bad situations.
If your life were a movie which one would it be? Fast and Furious.
If you were on death row, what would be your last meal? A huge steak with chips.
