Meet The Fetchie Website

This week our Fetchie spotlight is on our Operations and Communications Manager Annique Ray!
From the southwest Victorian coast, Annique joined us 2 years ago as a marketing intern, but quickly became so much more. Known as ‘miss fix-it’ Annique handles any hiccups within Fetch; from tech issues to planning team events, Annique is relied on by all. Outside of work Annique loves a drink and to get a little crafty, sometimes with some DIY or sometimes both at the same time. Annique cares deeply not only for her teammates but for marginalised populations worldwide.

Name: Annique Ray

Position: Operations & Communications Manager

Time at Fetch: 2 years

Tell us a bit about your career to date and how you got into Recruitment.

I fell into Fetch as an intern whilst at university, and they haven’t gotten rid of me since! I started as the Marketing Intern, and when I graduated, I was offered the Marketing Coordinator role, and from there my role has developed and evolved into operations & communications management.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Fetch?

It’s a cliché, but the people! We have such a fun vibe at Fetch and it’s something I love!

What’s one thing you wish people knew about recruitment / your industry?

Before I worked for Fetch, I didn’t know how complex and large of an industry recruitment is, the industry is huge and there is so many different opportunities.

Number 1 career highlight to date?

I suppose it’s the evolution of my role at Fetch, being given so much trust and opportunity by the leadership team is a massive highlight. I’ve been exposed to so many different functions of a business, and that’s something I’m really grateful for.

Your life mantra is / Your philosophy on life is / The words you live by are…

Don’t get bitter, get better.

Which celebrity would play you in the movie of your life?

This a hard one, but Jennifer Lawrence?

If you were on death row, what would be your last meal?

One of my dad’s Sunday night roasts!

Name three things right now you are grateful for.

-Facetiming my family & friends every day in lockdown!
-Comfort food
-The sunshine this week!

Tell us a #FunFact about you!

It’s not fun for me, but for others; I’m super clumsy! Currently in a moon boot after stacking it down the stairs in my house a few weeks ago!

One job I’m recruiting for RIGHT NOW is:

I’m not a recruiter, but one project I’m leading at the moment is our new Diversity & Inclusion Policy – watch out for info in the next few months!
